Message from the President
Lawyers Club of San Diego | A feminist bar association focused on advancing the status of women in the law and society.
As a member, I have benefitted from Lawyers Club professionally and personally by being involved in an organization that has allowed me to develop my networking, leadership, presentations, litigation, writing and oral advocacy skills. I have found lifelong friendships and an organization I call my family.
I am truly honored and humbled to serve as Lawyers Club’s 49th president in 2020-2021, notwithstanding a global COVID-19 pandemic.
During my tenure, we will continue to advance the status of women in the law and society to ensure our members’ professional development in all parts of our society whether as partners, government, C-Suite, judges, politicians, nonprofit executives, leading trial lawyers, exemplary general counsels, volunteers, as many have since our founding in 1972.
Whether you are a new or more experienced lawyer, an associate or partner, in private practice or government, a solo practitioner or firm lawyer, non-legal professional, male, female, nonbinary, white or person of color, we all have the same mission: advancing the status of women in the law and society.
Why is our work—your work—so important? Because our mission is the key to tackling the myriad challenges that our society faces. Thank you for all that you do to advance our mission.
This year we will focus on Service, Inclusion & Advocacy to ensure that everyone understands they are welcome and will be supported with valuable experiences that promote professional growth, leadership development and community advocacy.
I welcome your thoughts and ideas on how we can continue to meet your professional development needs.
Yahairah Aristy, President
