On March 1, 2022, the first day of Women’s History Month, for the first time in our history, two women sat behind the President of the United States during the State of the Union Address.

Two days later, we celebrated 50 years of Lawyers Club’s rich history and achievements advancing the status of women in the law and in society with the opening of an exhibit at the San Diego History Center (SDHC). Women lawyers now have more opportunity in the practice of law - in large part due to the courage of our founding mothers and those who followed in their footsteps to stand up, raise their voices against injustice, and fight for equality. Thank you to everyone who joined us at this very special celebration.

The full 50th Anniversary exhibit will be on display for the next year at the San Diego History Center. We are proud that a portion will become a permanent component of the museum. We encourage everyone to take a trip to Balboa Park to admire the amazing work that went into this special collaboration with SDHC, and share your photo with Lady Justice.
